The ’Smoke that thunders’ is 1700m wide and
thunders 107m into the Zambezi Gorge. Spray from the falls
can be seen and felt from far away.
You can get a sense of the vastness of the falls from a
microlight or a helicopter. Other activities are as extreme
as the plummet of the falls. White water rafting is a firm
favourite as well as the 111m plummet off the Victoria Falls
bridge.
Victoria Falls can be experienced from either the Zambian
town of Livingstone of the Zimbabwean town of Victoria Falls.
