Description:
Situated in the centre of Lesotho on the eastern
slopes of the Thaba Putsoa range, Semonkong Lodge is a base
from which to explore the remote mountains of Lesotho on
horseback or on foot with experienced guides. The accom-modation,
built of stone and thatch, offers just the right balance
of civilisation and rustic elegance. There is a fully licensed
bar and restaurant (home-cooked meals) and a kitchen for
the self-caterer.
Alongside the mighty Maletsunyane Falls is
the longest commercially operated single-drop abseil in
the world at 204m.
