THE GARDEN ROUTE IN 5 DAYS
Description:
Bok Bus has been in operation since 1999 &
offers affordable Garden Route Tours from Cape Town. This
5 day, 4 night all inclusive adventure tour is perfect for
backpackers, professionals and those young at heart who
wish to see and explore the best the Garden Route has to
offer!
Bok Bus also has a range of other short tours as well as
a cultural township experience to ensure that you take home
the best of South Africa, its people and wildlife!
HIGHLIGHTS:
· Drive through a game farm boasting the BIG 5.
· Hiking 3 km underground through the awesome Cango
Caves.
· Ride the world's largest bird (Ostrich).
· Visit a cheetah & crocodile breeding project.
· Travel the stunning coastline by steam train. (optional
extra)
· See the world's highest bungy (plenty of time to
jump if you're crazy enough!). (optional extra)
· Walk leisurely through South Africa's most beautiful
forest.
· Tasting wine at one of SA's premier wine farms.
· Dive with the Great White Sharks off Gans Bay.

ITINERARY:
day 1:- CAPE TOWN TO MOSSEL BAY
Depart from Cape Town and drive along the N2 through Swellendam
and on to Mossel Bay where in your own time you can visit
the Diaz Museum, the Post Office Tree and other attractions
of Mossel Bay. Late afternoon drive back towards Albertinia
on the way to a sunset Big 5 game drive at the Garden Route
Game Lodge. Dinner and hot springs under the stars before
overnighting at Park House Backpackpackers in Mossel Bay.
day 2:- MOSSEL BAY TO WILDERNESS
· Visit the world renowned - Cango Caves.
· Visit the Cango Ostrich Ranch - Ostrich riding.
· Visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch - Crocodile and
Cheetah breeding center.
Depart from Mossel Bay and drive over the spectacular Robinson
Pass on the way to Oudtshoorn. Spend the day at the Cango
Caves, ride ostriches at the Cango Ostrich Farm and view
cheetahs and many other cats at the Wildlife Ranch. Overnight
in Wilderness at Fairy Knowe Backpackers situated in a forest
of old milkwood trees.
day 3:- WILDERNESS TO PLETTENBERG BAY
· Canoe on the Wilderness Lagoon spotting over 200
different species of birds.
· World's Highest Bungy Jump at Bloukrantz 216m.

· Sunset Champagne Cruise.
On departure you'll have the choice of either canoeing on
the Wilderness lagoon or catching the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe
steam train from George to Knysna. Try to spot the 200 differenct
species of birds on the lagoon or enjoy the scenic splendour
en route from the window of the train. Visit the world's
highest bungy at Bloukrantz (plenty of time to jump for
those thrill seekeres) and walk the hanging bridge over
the Storms River mouth in the Tsitsikamma National Park.
Overnight at the Didge Backpackers in Storms River Village.
day 4:- PLETTENBERG BAY TO SWELLENDAM
· Explore the Knysna markets and surrounds.
· Visit an Aloe Factory outside Albertinia.
· Longest foefie-slide in Africa. (Ask a South African)
Today you have the option of an ocean adventure by spotting
dolphins and whales (in season) from a boat in Plettenberg
Bay. After the boat cruise we head to Knysna for lunch and
to explore the Knysna heads. En route to Swellendam we visit
an aloe factory in Albertinia before arriving at the Buffeljagts
Dam where we will stay on a private guest farm.
day 5:- SWELLENDAM TO CAPE TOWN
· Shark Cage Diving at Gans Bay (optional extra).
· Wine Tasting.
· Whale watching, in season.
· Visit the Jackass Penguin Colony at Betty's Bay.
Depart Swellendam and follow the coastal route towards Hermanus.
There is time for an optional extra of shark cage diving
if any one so wishes. We explore Hermanus, including whale
watching (in season) and visit a winery for some wine tasting.
From Hermanus to Betty's Bay where we visit the penguins
at Stony Point. Return to Cape Town late afternoon via the
stunning False Bay coastline where hopefully we'll see more
whales or dolphins.
