Join us for a horse riding adventure along the Wild Coast: one sweeping bay after another, rolling hills, river crossings, warm lagoons and rural Xhosa villages guarantee an exciting experience.

Based at Sunray Farm we offer different out rides from our beach paddocks in Kei Mouth:

• Day rides
  Beach and Bush day rides in and around Kei Mouth & Morgan Bay.
• Overnight trails
  6 night / 7 day Wild Coast Horse Trail
  8 night / 10 day Surf & Turf Safari
  Overnight accommodation is provided in comfy seaside hotels. Prices are available on request.
• 1-12 week Riding Holidays
  This is simple country living on a working horse and cattle farm. No frills - just great riding on lovely horses, a comfortable bed, home cooked food and lots of good conversation. mostly about horses!
  Care for, exercise and school the horses, and do lots of riding. You also have the option of going on one of our overnight trails.
  Riding holidays start from R4000 per week and includes accommodation & meals at Sunray Farm, horse riding and farm activities.

  Custom-made 1-14 day trails.

This is an excellent environment for all levels of riders – beginner, intermediate and advanced.

WILD COAST HORSE TRAIL

6 nights 7 days of beach & cross country riding through rural Africa - our flagship trail will always be popular for all levels of riders, we have decided not to have fixed dates this year, but will do trail to clients requests. I think that this will open it up to more options and fit in with riders holiday plans better. Arrival on any day (mid week flights are cheaper!) Once a booking has been confirmed, I will put it up onto the availability page and let you all know, that it is open for other riders to join the group.

WILD COAST HORSE SAFARI new!

7 night 8 days - incorporating Endalweni Private Game Reserve. This is a new exciting option of riding with non dangerous game spending two nights at the luxurious Endalweni Private Game reserve just out of Kei Mouth before adventure riding along the coast to Trennery's & Wavecrest (This itinerary options is available from now until beginning December at the 2010 rate of £185.00 per person per night) (Maximum 6 riders) (set departure dates)

SURF & TURF HORSE SAFARI

In conjunction with Horizon Horse Safari at Dinaka game reserve, this is set to become a very popular ride. Laura has also been working hard with Louise from Limpopo Valley Horse Safaris to link in at least 6 trail dates where by a rider can do 3 destinations in one trip - from sandy beaches of rural Africa, to savannah grass lands, to the land of the giants. THE ULTIMATE horseback adventure!!
Please note that I have made a small change to the itinerary on day 2. I am sure that the ride timing will be better this way, giving riders maximum time in the saddle and experience along the coast.

CASTAWAY TRAIL

These are designed for weekend getaways, or for riders who only have a few days to ride on their South Africa tour. We can do them at short notice as they are very flexible and there is no set itinerary.

ENDALWENI HORSE SAFARI new!

We are also able to offer a base riding options at Endalweni Private Game Reserve. Minimum stay of two nights, these are custom made riding holidays that incorporate game viewing on horseback with some beach riding nearby. One or two nights can also be added in along the coast, staying at Trennery's or Wavecrest, the itinerary is tailor made, max 6 riders, min 2 riders.

RIDING HOLIDAY AT SUNRAY FARM (Gap Year Working Riding Holiday)

1. This riding holiday option is aimed mainly at riders 18 to 25 years old, looking for an extended adventure while travelling. This is a hands on get involved experience and is for all levels of riders. They will be involved with the day to day grooming and care of the horses, they will get lots of beach riding and be able to do game viewing exercising the horses at Endalweni Game Reserve as well as schooling and working with the horses at Sunray Farm.
2. It is also a nice option for budget conscious riders who would like to stay a bit longer than just the multiday trail along the coast. A few days at the farm before start of trail will give them a chance to get to know the horses, and relax before exploring the Wild Coast. We will do out rides at the farm, have the chance to do some schooling and of course there are the rides down at the beach/game reserve to enjoy. Riders are welcome to get involved - or not - its up to them!
