Spectacular hiking along an undeveloped, pristine coastline with endless beaches, unpolluted estuaries, the warm Indian Ocean, rolling hills dotted with traditional Xhosa villages, shipwrecks, whales (in season), a warm climate and much more. This is a fairly easy trail with many attractions that will compel you to stop and appreciate the beauty of the region - swimming at a remote beach, a picnic at a crystal rock pool, Waterfall Bluff, Cathedral Rock...

3 Days & 3 Nights Slack-packing

Hiking or Mountain Biking Trail
Meals are included, linen is provided and luggage is transferred from camp to camp. All you have to do is enjoy the trail. Two nights are spent at comfortable trail camps and one night at Mbotyi River Lodge. All accommodation is en-suite.

You can park your car in Mbotyi from where you will be taken to Msikaba - the start of the trail. On Day 2 you will walk 16km to Luphutana. On Day 3 you will walk 14km back to Mbotyi.

6 Days and 5 Nights Self-catering

Hiking or Mountain Biking Trail
This trail is is for independent hikers who like to carry their own supplies and gear. You will be collected in Port St Johns and are then taken to the start of the trail. Nights are spent in comfortable trail camps, each with a well equipped central dining / cooking area. Gas stoves and fridges are provided. Sleeping bags are required. The distances between camps vary from 9 to 16 km.

Accommodation

Overnight camps are in remote, stunning locations. Accommodation is provided in 12 twin-bedded, en-suite, thatched tented units.
