Imagine making your way to South Africa’s best kept secret, hiking along virgin beaches, crossing rivers on horseback, jumping off waterfalls and experiencing the hospitality of isolated rural communities. Our community owned lodge is off the beaten track, above a turtle-filled turquoise estuary with game on its banks.

The most memorable way to arrive at Mtentu is with a 25km adventure hike/cycle/horse ride from Wild Coast Sun along the beach. 4x4 transfers available.

You can also get to Mtentu using public transport. From Port Sheptsone (the closest Baz Bus stop), take a mini-bus taxi towards Bizana. Jump out at the Umkolora sign 18km past The Wild Coast Sun. Two mini-bus taxis run from here to the lodge in the afternoon. Please call the lodge so that we can get the driver to keep you a seat and look out for you.
