Situated in the centre of Lesotho on the eastern slopes of the Thaba Putsoa range, Semonkong Lodge is a base from which to explore the remote mountains of Lesotho on horseback or on foot with experienced guides.

The accommodation, built of stone and thatch, offers just the right balance of civilisation and rustic elegance. There is a fully licensed bar and restaurant (home-cooked meals) and a kitchen for the self-caterer.

Alongside the mighty Maletsunyane Falls is the longest commercially operated single-drop abseil in the world at 204m (670ft).
