This hilly retreat is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Nature is in abundance on our 20 acres with indigenous trees, prolific bird life, monkeys and buck.

Visit the Valley of a Thousand Hills, craft shops and restaurants. We have space for you to eat, drink and party and plenty more to enjoy solitude and nature. Here you can mingle and leave with happy memories, new friendships and a desire to return.

Directions to African Sunrise

If you have your own Transport and come from direction Durban :

  1. take the N3 in Durban, go past the Pavillion Shopping centre and after about 3km the road splits. Straight on will be the N3 toll road.
  2. 2. Take the left hand split for the M13 New Germany, Pinetown and you will go back over the N3. Ensure you are in the right hand lane after you have taken the split going over the brigde over the N3.
  3. 3. Continue on this dual carriageway and you will pass off-ramps for New Germany, St. Johns and Pinetown.
  4. 4. Continue up Fields Hill and you will go past several off-ramps: Kloof, Arbrey Road and Averton Road.
  5. 5. Take the off-ramp which is number 28 for Hillcrest. At the lights at the end of the off-ramp, turn right back over the M13.
  6. 6. You will go through 5 sets of robots
  7. 7. At the sixth set of robots there will be a Pick' n Pay on the right hand side and a large sign for a Checkers development on your left hand side.
  8. 8. Get into the right hand lane for these robots and turn right into Inanda Road.
  9. 9. Continue down Inanda Road for 7km and you will arrive at a set of robots in Waterfall.
  10. 10. Go straight over these robots for further 4km.
  11. 11. Just before the end of the 4km you will see a old farm style garage on your right hand side. Continue down the hill and take the next turning on your left - Hillands Road.
  12. 12. We are on the corner of Hillands Rd. and Inanda Rd. so turn immediately right into our property. There are lots of pine trees and a black sign with yellow writing - Stone Farm.
  13. 13. Take the right hand driveway down to the large gate and intercom. You can buzz Oval Cottage.
