Amphitheatre Backpackers Lodge Affiliations

Use Amphitheatre Backpackers as a base to explore all the highlights of the Drakensberg. It is the closest lodge to the Amphitheatre, the Royal Natal Park and Sentinel Peak. Experienced guides lead highly-rated trips to the Tugela Falls and Cathedral Summit as well as rock climbing and off-road tours into Lesotho.

Away from the action, you can find your Zen in the thatched lodge. It is an artwork of stained glass, beautiful carvings, metal and wood sculptures and rooms converted from silos. Spoil yourself in the rock pool, sauna, climbing cave and funky bar with its eclectic range of music, wicked cocktails and a jacuzzi. In winter, there is a roaring log fire and all year round there’s good company.
