It’s one of the most talked about, hip and happening places in South Africa - the Airstream Penthouse Park perched on top of the lovely Grand Daddy Hotel in the heart of Cape Town. More trailer flash than trailer trash, seven imported vintage Airstream Trailers were handed over to local artists and designers for an imaginative makeover. The result is a collection of rooftop suites that plays with the imagination and the senses.

Your Airstream is enclosed by a tidy garden complete with US Postal Service mailboxes. Watch an outdoor movie on hot summer nights at The Pink Flamingo Cinema or enjoy a sundowner at the Airstream skybar. All the Airstreams are air-conditioned, incredibly well-insulated, have hot and cold running water, flushing toilets and showers. For those who want to pimp their park life and flash their trailer trash – or for those who simply want to experience the world’s only trailer park penthouse suite - just take the vintage elevator to the third floor, take the rooftop exit and enter the adventure.

Firmly entrenched in the garden of The Grand Daddy’s rooftop, they are an offbeat alternative to conventional hotel accommodation and an excellent location for a private celebration with a small group of friends or family.
