African heART offers afro-chic accommodation at affordable rates that include FREE internet access and a FREE breakfast! Located in the funky Observatory with a great selection of bars and restaurants all within walking distance, 'OBZ' is a cultural centre of Cape Town and 10 minutes to the city centre. Set in a historical Victorian building, we have revived the original wooden floors, archways and high ceilings with our own blend of contemporary design, vibrant colours, retro furniture, original artworks, spotless modern bathrooms and ultra-comfy beds. The lodge is run by a team of experienced travellers. We are focused on great service and hope to be the perfect start (or end) to your travels in South Africa.

awesome place, did not feel like a big city hostel but a nice coastal chilled out place. the owners/managers were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. they offered advice and were happy to have us which makes a change from some cape town backpackers. the location is great for bars restuarants but a bit out of the city for site seeing and museums. the kitchen is fantastic and as everywhere really nicely decorated. it was a really relaxing and tasteful place.would highly recommend!
